At Loskop Alarms, every community member is considered family, and we carry the interests of our community at heart. We can honestly say we offer only the best.
We actively support the local neighbourhood watches and farm watches with technical contributions and operational support at times of incidents.
The desire to be more pro-active in terms of crime prevention inspired the development of the Loskop Incident App. This is freely downloadable by community members to report crime or suspicious behaviour and is a mobile panic button that send the persons location to our control room upon activation. Appropriate assistance can then be activated.
LOSKOP INCIDENT App
The idea to develop the app originated from the realisation that intelligence is one of the most effective tools in combating crime. Community members and the general public, through normal observations, acquire information that can be turned into useful intelligence if the information can be suitably collected, coordinated and presented.
Crime is usually not a single incident, but rather an accumulation of a sequence of events or incidents which makes it possible to predict that there might be a high probability of a crime incident occurring at a certain location.
The idea behind the app is to utilise the public and available technology to elevate the fight against crime to the next level through digital disruption. The app provides the public with a single digital platform to mobilise support services. The accumulated data can then be used to deploy suitable Artificial Intelligence algorithms to predict vulnerable locations where there might be a high risk on crime incidents occurring. Armed with this intelligence, security firms and neighbourhood watches can then act proactively to potentially prevent possible crime incidents from occurring or at least causing harm.
