The Loskop Alarms Story

25 Years Protecting the Loskop Valley

Loskop Alarms was started in 1995 by Danie Wahl. He saw alarm installations as an opportunity to create employment for young school leavers. They started with an alarm installation in his own home and the followed with friends and family. As the number of alarms grew, he started monitoring the alarms from his home and business. With the rapid increase in both residential and business alarms it soon became necessary to establish a control centre and start a response team. Technicians were trained to do installations according to SAIDSA standards right from the start. Danie can look back with pride how that initial idea prospered into a respected business.

In 2016 Danie and Santje Wahl decided that the time had come for them to retire to Langebaan where they had been preparing a retirement home for some time. Danna Strydom acquired the business, after retiring from a corporate career managing security businesses, and ushered in a new chapter. He brought a new perspective to the busines formed by and engineering background and decades of experience leading large security businesses locally and internationally.
